Smart glasses, referred to as Apple's most important product, will be released by the end of 2026. This is reported by the specialized publication 9to5Mac.

Journalists cited insiders who claim that smart glasses are the most important project for Apple CEO Tim Cook. The sources also revealed the device's release timeline: according to them, the American IT giant is expected to announce the device at the end of 2026.

Previously, authoritative insider Mark Gurman mentioned that the head of Apple is literally obsessed with the wearable device. "He wants to create real augmented reality glasses — lightweight glasses that the user could wear all day," the author noted. "Tim is interested in nothing else," a source familiar with the situation at the company told Gurman.

The authors of 9to5Mac noted that the glasses will not be as bulky a gadget as the augmented and virtual reality headset Vision Pro, presented in early 2024. Apple believes that the smart glasses will be as convenient and comfortable a device as the Apple Watch once became.
