The Voyah Taishan will compete with other flagship hybrid crossovers, particularly the Aito M9, Li Auto L9, and Zeekr 9X. The price in China may start from 450,000 yuan (54,500 euros).
The first photo of the new crossover appeared at the end of August. Externally, the Voyah Taishan is closely aligned with its British counterpart, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The front of the model is designed in the traditional Voyah style and resonates with the Voyah Passion L model. The vertical square grille, two small air intakes, and narrow headlights are similar.
Voyah is a premium division of the Chinese company Dongfeng, as well as the name of a series of electric vehicles under this brand. It focuses on the production of hybrid and battery electric vehicles. In 2020, the concept cars Voyah i-Land and Voyah i-Free were introduced. The first production model was presented in 2021. The design of the vehicles was developed by Italdesign Giugiaro. The cars are built on the Electric Smart Secure Architecture (ESSA) platform.
