Windows 11 cannot be installed without an account and internet, as decided by Microsoft.
Microsoft has prohibited the installation of Windows 11 without creating a full-fledged account. This is stated in the Windows blog.
In a post dated October 6, it is noted that a future update will fix a bug that allowed the operating system (OS) to be installed with a local account. Soon, when installing Windows 11, users will have to log into their Microsoft account or create a new one. "We are removing known mechanisms for creating a local account during the Windows installation process," the company emphasized.
Journalists from Windows Latest explained that many users do not like creating Microsoft accounts. They stick with a local account for various reasons — some do not want the Windows developer to collect too much data about them, while others do not have the ability to connect to the internet. The journalists tried to install the new beta version of Windows 11 Pro and Home without internet and an account, but they were unsuccessful.
Microsoft emphasized that the process of setting up the new OS without an account is incomplete. The company noted that in this case, the consumer misses several important settings.
