They Won«t Ask: New Apps Will Be Forcefully Added to Windows 11

Three built-in applications will be added to Windows 11 — "People," "Calendar," and "Files."

Microsoft will add a number of new applications to Windows 11. This was noted by the publication Neowin.

At the beginning of October, the company announced that three new programs would appear in the operating system — "People," "Calendar," and "Files." These are companion applications designed to perform specific specialized tasks or functions. The IT giant will forcefully add them to the system, and users will not be able to refuse.

"Microsoft constantly tries to add something new to its operating system without the user's consent, while users continuously resist these attempts," journalists sarcastically commented on the situation. Microsoft explained that the mini-applications could be launched in a small window from the taskbar so that they do not distract attention.

The aforementioned programs allow users to work with the address book, create and manage events in the calendar, and search for documents. The company stated that the rollout of the applications will begin at the end of October and is planned to be completed by the end of December. Additionally, these programs will automatically launch when the computer is turned on — this feature can only be disabled manually.
