They didn’t beat him, but found pressure points for signing the contract.
Subscribers of the Telegram channel ASTRA sent a video, allegedly filmed at night in Kamyanka, Penza region, near the military enlistment office at Skladskaya, 19. It is spreading widely in local chats in Max. In the footage, several men are sitting in a minibus, while gathered women are trying to prevent the officials from taking them away.
— Guys, tell me, did everyone sign the contract voluntarily?
— Were you forced, tell me?
Subscribers claim that military enlistment officers drive around at night in black minibuses and wait for people near alcohol stores to "pick up drunk individuals who can be easily coerced into signing anything." The National Guard stated that they conducted a raid to identify violators of military registration. Police randomly stopped vehicles and checked 80 people in this manner. Nine of them were allegedly just handed summonses, the agency reported.
Three weeks ago, the Penza publication "Novaya Alternativa" reported on the abduction of a resident of Sursk, Vladimir Podkovykin, the torture of a resident of Penza, Stanislav Vyaltsin, and other locals who were forcibly sent to fight in the war with Ukraine.
"Not a single criminal case has been initiated in the Penza region based on reports from relatives about the abduction of their family members, illegally, through torture, threats, and moral pressure, who signed a contract for service in the Special Military Operation!" journalists reported.
Local resident Anastasia Fomina published an appeal to Bastrykin regarding the abduction and sending of her 58-year-old father to the front, who was taken from their home in the village of Russkiy Kachim, ASTRA noted. He was also brought to the military enlistment office at Skladskaya, 19, allowed to see his relatives only once under guard, and that same evening sent with other men to the Rostov region. As the girl recounted, both her father and other men who were at the enlistment office that day were pressured to sign contracts. Fomina did not respond to ASTRA's messages.
The video from the military enlistment office in Kamyanka also appeared on "VKontakte." In the comments, there were accounts of cases of forced mobilization from the streets.
— A car picked up people from the street, claiming to be bailiffs. After that, a person took them to the military enlistment office. <…> He had no debts. And everyone there was sober. They did not allow the car to leave with their relatives.
Comments also reported previous cases of forced mobilization:
— On April 26, my father, 63 years old, was taken in the same way. No matter where I ran, it was all in vain; I was thrown out of the regional military enlistment office.
— Everyone is corrupt and in collusion, police, administration, bailiffs; my brother was also taken from N. Lomov recently.
— A relative also ended up there thanks to officers from the 4th department of Penza, who took him for document checks from a neighboring house. They didn’t beat him, but found pressure points for signing the contract. At Skladskaya 19, they talk about going to build and restore newly acquired territories… But they don’t even let them inform their relatives about their departure. They are kept like prisoners there.
— Sursk in the Gorodishche district of the Penza region is the same. Bastards, human hunters, what they are doing.
— When my friends' godfather was taken in this manner, we dropped everything, followed the human hunters, caused a scandal, and rescued our person. This is Sursk in the Gorodishche district of the Penza region. On May 20 of this year, there was also a case of illegal detention of a person, who was also rescued from the military enlistment office in Gorodishche.
— Girls, this didn’t start now; my husband was taken in early July 2025, and he was already dead in August (he had no debts). He was a worker at a factory.
— This is some kind of horror; they took the father of a child, lawlessness is happening, everyone is treated the same.
