Any football fan in the world proudly wears gear in their club's colors, but women living in the Arab East who also love football have not always had the luxury of wearing team jerseys, considering cultural and religious specifics.
For a long time, the fan style for them remained an improvisation — face painting, flags, homemade accessories.
But Saudi designer Nora Al-Sheikh noticed the problem, approached adidas and the brand sponsored by Al-Nassr with the idea of creating a modest outfit for the team’s female fans. The result of the collaboration was a floor-length dress with long sleeves and a stand-up collar in the team’s signature colors: dark blue and yellow.
The collection has been released in a limited edition — only 100 pieces — and was gifted to women already connected with the club: devoted fans, television presenters, former players, as reported by Forbes magazine.
