The authoritative football publication Goal has published a fresh ranking of the main contenders for the Ballon d'Or for the year 2026 following the UEFA Champions League semifinals. The favorite for the main individual award in football remains Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane.
Spanish winger Lamine Yamal from Barcelona and the Spain national team has surged to second place, having previously ranked third. Meanwhile, French player Ousmane Dembélé from Paris Saint-Germain has dropped from second to third.
As for legendary players, Lionel Messi has moved up from 13th to 12th place, while Cristiano Ronaldo has risen from 14th to 13th.
