In a friendly match between the national teams of Brazil and France at Gillette Stadium (Foxborough, USA), the representatives of Europe celebrated a 2:1 victory.
The first goal of the match was scored by French forward Kylian Mbappé in the 32nd minute.
French defender Deotshankül Upamecano received a straight red card in the 55th minute. Despite this, forward Hugo Ekitike doubled the French lead in the 65th minute. South American team defender Bremer pulled one back in the 79th minute, setting the final score at 2:1.
Both teams will participate in the 2026 World Cup, which will take place next summer across three countries — the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Following the European qualification for the tournament, France finished first in Group D, while the Brazilian national team ranked fifth in the South American qualifying group.
