24-time Grand Slam tournament winner, Olympic champion Novak Djokovic shared what motivates him to continue his career in professional tennis. The 38-year-old Serbian is participating in the tournament in Indian Wells (USA), where he will start his performance from the second round.
There are always goals and objectives — to win and to win another Grand Slam. Why not continue when there is fire, energy, quality of play, and motivation? I am still the world’s number three and still competitive. I have the drive and I will continue as long as I feel that I want to do this,” Djokovic said at a press conference for the tournament in Indian Wells.
In the 2026 season, the Serbian tennis player was close to his 25th Grand Slam victory, reaching the final of the Australian Open. In the title match, Djokovic lost to Carlos Alcaraz. The Serbian lost his first final in Melbourne, having previously won ten final matches.
