Russian law enforcement agencies refused to initiate a criminal case in connection with the death of basketball player Janis Timma.
This was reported by lawyer Tatyana Stukalova, who represents the interests of the athlete's ex-wife — singer Anna Sedokova.
— An investigative check was conducted regarding the death of Janis Timma, as a result of which a decision was made to refuse to initiate a criminal case, — the lawyer said.
The 32-year-old Latvian basketball player was found dead in the center of Moscow on December 17, 2024. The investigative check established that Timma committed suicide.
