From the Union of Greens and Farmers (UGF), the current Minister of Economics Viktors Vāleinis and Minister of Welfare Rēinis Uzuliņš will retain their positions in the new government, while the post of Minister of Agriculture will be taken by former Minister of Welfare, Saeima deputy Uldis Augulis.
The current Speaker of the Saeima, Daiga Mieriņa, will also retain her position.
As reported, the four parties, led by Kulbergs, are trying to form a new government and have divided areas of responsibility, but the specific names of candidates for ministers will be announced tomorrow after a meeting with President Edgars Rinkēvičs, said prime ministerial candidate Kulbergs.
It was also reported that the leadership of the National Alliance nominated Saeima deputies Ilze Indriksone, Jānis Dombrovskis, Nauris Puntulis, and Jānis Vitenbergs for ministerial posts in the new government.
