As bb.lv predicted, Kulbergs will reveal the specific names of future ministers to the public only tomorrow.
Thus, Andris Kulbergs met the deadline set by the president - by this morning, as requested by the head of state, he presented the coalition composition and candidates for all ministerial posts. One important aspect is whether the candidates for ministers may have issues with access to state secrets. Andris Kulbergs stated at a press conference after meeting with the president today that there should be no problems 99% of the time. This suggests that the overwhelming majority of ministerial candidates already have such access.
Meanwhile, it seems that not all questions regarding the personnel composition of the government have been resolved, and therefore Kulbergs refused to publicly announce the names of the candidates for ministerial posts today. The names will be revealed, as bb.lv predicted, only tomorrow afternoon - when Kulbergs meets again with the prime minister.
It cannot be ruled out that the president may have objections to one candidate or another, primarily regarding the defense minister position. After all, rumors suggest that "New Unity" is once again pushing for Raivis Melnis for this position. However, the president has already stated that he does not wish to see a military figure in this role.
