More than 1,000 members this year are registered with nine political parties, and more than 2,000 with one party, according to data compiled by the Enterprise Register.
As of February 25 of this year, the Unity party had 2,183 registered members. It is followed by the Latvia First party with 1,853 members (as of March 11), and the New Latvians Union with 1,528 members (data as of February 27).
The fourth largest party this year is the Latvian Farmers' Union with 1,324 members (as of March 12). It is followed by Platform 21, which had 1,252 members as of March 6, and the National Alliance "All for Latvia!" - "For Fatherland and Freedom/LNNK" with 1,123 members (as of March 2).
More than 1,000 members this year were also registered with the Latvian Green Party — 1,123 members (as of March 16), as well as the Progressive party, which had 1,014 members as of January 15.
A total of 72 political parties are registered in Latvia.
