Vidzis has decided to continue his professional activities in the USA, where he will focus on the development of integrative medicine, preventive healthcare, and longevity medicine.

The hospital reminds that Vidzis took over the management of the hospital in October 2023. His term is set to expire in November 2029.

The chairman of the hospital council, Reinis Berziņš, notes that Vidzis led the hospital during a challenging period and during this time managed to achieve significant changes - strengthening management, developing collaboration networks, advancing infrastructure projects, and improving patient care quality.

"We highly appreciate his contribution and thank him for his work. I am confident that the daily operations of the hospital will continue as usual, and its strategic development will not be affected," said Berziņš.

Until a new chairman of the board is elected, the board will consist of two members.

Currently, Dace Jentinja and Girts Ansons continue to serve on the board of Stradiņš Hospital.
