Latvia Should Not Become a Small Uzbekistan

The National Alliance demanded to stop migration from third countries.

Videos and photos on social media about the celebration in Plavnieki marking the end of Ramadan—dozens of people performing namaz right on the sidewalk—shocked representatives of the National Alliance.

"I have submitted amendments to the Immigration Law that provide for restrictions on immigration from certain countries. Latvia was founded to ensure the existence of the Latvian nation, not to become a small Uzbekistan or Russia," said Saeima deputy from the National Alliance Edvins Šnore. His party colleague Arturs Butāns lamented that today the immigration policy in the country is determined not by the government, but by the migrants themselves—those who want to come, come as they please.

"Islamization of Latvia is happening," the politician stated, concluding that as soon as the rule of Silinie and the current 'progressive' coalition ends, so will mass migration.
