The Ministry of the Interior (MoI) will propose to the government to redistribute 10,949,369 euros for the continuation of the construction of technological infrastructure on the Latvia-Russia border.

These funds are necessary for the implementation of the sixth and seventh phases of construction on a border section with a total length of approximately 141 km.

The construction and implementation of technological infrastructure on the Latvia-Russia and Latvia-Belarus borders is provided by the Latvian State Radio and Television Centre.

Overall, the construction of technological infrastructure on Latvia's external land border is divided into seven phases along sections with a total length of 456.5 km.

The budget law for 2024-2026 allocates funding of 165 million euros for the creation of technological infrastructure on the external border.
