"All moose know that before crossing the road, one must ensure traffic safety!" – state the employees of the Main Police Department of Latvia, who gave way to the moose while patrolling the roads of Latvia.
Police officers recorded a video during their daily duty. The video shows several moose approaching the road, but not rushing across the roadway. Before crossing, they stop and check – is it safe to cross the highway, is anyone speeding down the road.
Law enforcement used this short clip as a visual reminder to all road users. The message is simple: before stepping onto the roadway, one must ensure that crossing is safe.

The footage quickly spread across social media and elicited enthusiastic reactions from users. Many found it amusing that the moose behave more sensibly by the road than some pedestrians.
