They continued to spread the word of God even in prison, converting fellow inmates to Christianity. They were sentenced to death, but when thrown into a cauldron of boiling tar, they survived. Struck by the miracle, the executioners relented and set them free. Moreover, they asked to be baptized. The apostles lived to a ripe old age, spreading the word of God to the people.
