Starting today, the e-mail address from which users of official e-mail addresses e-adrese will receive automatically generated notifications about new messages will change, the State Agency for Digital Development (VDAA) informed the LETA agency.
In the future, notifications will be sent from the address "noreply@eadrese.gov.lv". Previously, they were sent from the e-mail "pazinojumi@vdaa.gov.lv". Notifications are generated by the system, and it is not possible to reply to them.
As explained by the VDAA, the changes are being implemented to adopt the familiar "noreply" practice in digital communication, widely used especially where most messages are generated automatically. Such an address indicates that replies should not be sent and documents should not be submitted to it.
The e-mail "noreply@eadrese.gov.lv" is not intended for receiving messages. If a reply is sent to it, it will not be delivered, and the user will receive an error notification from their mail system stating that this address is not monitored and messages sent to it will remain unanswered.
The VDAA urges users to utilize the "E-adrese" section on the "Latvija.gov.lv" portal to address messages to the appropriate institution.
If a user has specified and confirmed their e-mail address in their profile on the "Latvija.gov.lv" portal and indicated that they wish to receive notifications about new messages in e-adrese, a notification will be automatically sent to this address each time a new message arrives.
