On Thursday, rain is expected in many areas of Selia and eastern Vidzeme, as well as in parts of Latgale, while a gusty wind will blow in Kurzeme, forecasters predict, writes LETA.
In parts of the country, the sun will peek through the clouds. The maximum air temperature will range from +5 degrees in some coastal areas to +12 degrees in the southeast of Latgale.
A southern, southwest wind will blow, from weak to moderately strong, with gusts reaching 12–17 meters per second in Kurzeme.
In Riga, variable cloudiness is expected, with no precipitation. With a moderate southern, southwest wind, the air will warm up to +10 degrees.
A stationary atmospheric frontal zone stretches over the eastern part of Latvia. The atmospheric pressure at sea level will range from 997 hPa in northern Kurzeme to 1002 hPa in southeastern Latgale.
