In the coming nights, the air temperature in most of Latvia will drop below zero, but in the afternoon, it will be spring-like warm, forecasters predict, reports LETA.
In the past three weeks, 122 heat records have been broken. No new records are expected, as the air temperature will not rise as high as on certain days in the first half of March.
On Saturday and Sunday, dry and mostly sunny weather is expected, with light winds, and on Sunday, at times, a moderate southwest wind. On Saturday, the air temperature will drop at night to -1 to -6 degrees and rise during the day to +8 to +12 degrees, with some coastal areas not exceeding +5 degrees. On Sunday, temperatures are expected to be one to two degrees warmer.
Similar weather conditions will persist on Monday, though cloud cover will increase. Starting from Monday evening, the likelihood of precipitation will increase. Next week, rain is expected at times, with possible hail and wet snow in some areas. The wind will also strengthen periodically, predominantly from the southwest.
