On Friday, the second day of Christmas, no precipitation is expected, according to the forecast from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, writes LETA.
Today, the sun will be shining in many places and the weather will be dry; however, clouds will still remain in the sky. Moderate northwestern and northern winds will prevail, with gusts only remaining strong along the coast of Vidzeme.
The air temperature will warm up to +3…+7 degrees, slightly cooler in the eastern regions where it will not exceed +1…+3 degrees. In the evening, fog will begin to form in some areas of Kurzeme.
In Riga, the day will be partly cloudy, with no precipitation expected.
The northwestern and northern winds will gust up to 15–16 meters per second, and the maximum air temperature will be +5…+6 degrees.
