According to the Central Statistical Bureau, at the end of last year, the largest number of economically active enterprises outside Riga was in Liepaja.
At the end of 2024, there were 184,758 economically active enterprises registered in the country. Of these, 75,288 were registered in Riga, 6,096 in Liepaja, and 5,005 in the Ogre region. In all these places, the number of economically active enterprises increased over the year.
At the same time, the smallest number of economically active enterprises at the end of last year was in Varaklani, where 279 enterprises were registered. Over the year, the number of enterprises decreased by four.
