The Riga City Council is preparing to lease 20 land plots for electric vehicle charging stations through an auction.
To promote the development of the electric mobility and electric transport charging network in the capital, the Riga City Council is announcing an auction for the right to lease land for 20 plots for the construction, maintenance, and servicing of electric vehicle charging points and the necessary parking lots for them.
The bidding is organized into four lots, each offering five plots for lease with the possibility for operators to install a total of 45 charging devices with 90 connections both in the city center and in the districts.
In the first lot, 5 undeveloped land plots are offered for lease in the areas of Dreiliņi, the center, Purvciems, Imanta, and Daugavgrīva-Bulli with a total area of 360 m². In the second lot, 5 undeveloped land plots are offered for lease in the areas of Lucavsala (islands), Latgale, the center, Teika, and Kipsala with a total area of 288 m². In the third lot, 5 undeveloped land plots are offered for lease in the areas of Dzirciems, Kengarags, Ziepniekkalns, the Old Town, and Agenskalns with a total area of 372 m². In the fourth lot, 5 undeveloped land plots are offered for lease in the areas of Bolderāja, Sarkandaugava, Šampēteris, Plavnieki, and Andrejsala with a total area of 327 m².
The municipality has established that electric vehicle charging stations must be publicly accessible 24/7. One charging device must provide a simultaneous power of at least 22 kW, and the simultaneous power of one connection must be at least 11 kW.
The lease agreement with the winning auction bidder will be concluded for 15 years from the date the agreement comes into force. By mutual agreement, if permitted by regulations and the lessee has duly fulfilled the obligations established by the lease agreement, the lease term may be extended.
The right to lease the land plots will be put up for electronic bidding on the electronic trading website with an ascending step.
