The labor market in Latvia has experienced noticeable fluctuations in recent years. After the pandemic, the number of vacancies decreased — if in 2022 employers posted up to 5000 ads per month, now there are about 3000.
Experts note that demand has begun to stabilize; however, it is still a third lower than before the crisis.
The decrease in job offers is related not only to the economy but also to technological changes: companies are actively implementing automation and artificial intelligence, reducing the need for routine workers and creating new, more qualified positions.
The highest salaries are offered to programmers (from 2380 to 3700 euros), lawyers (up to 2700 euros), and builders (around 2400 euros). Among technical specialists, electricians and mechanics earn the most — up to 2500 euros per month. Accountants and marketers earn about 1800–2000 euros, while retail workers earn 1000–1300 euros.
Currently, there are the most vacancies in customer service, sales, and logistics. At the same time, there is growing demand for specialists in finance, construction, and manufacturing, where the average salary reaches 2000–2300 euros.
Experts note that salary transparency in job postings helps candidates better navigate the market and makes competition among employers fairer.
