Seven minutes by boat to the coast.
This seaside resort combines comprehensive wellness with Mediterranean cuisine: personal consultations, individual treatments across five programs, and three accommodation formats – all in one place.
The private island off the southern coast of France is becoming a new attraction for wellness enthusiasts in the Mediterranean.
The Zannier Hotels network, known for its artisanal approach to hospitality and residences in Europe, Africa, and Asia, has introduced Zannier Île de Bendor – a resort with 93 rooms on Bendor Island.
After a five-year transformation, initiated when part of the island began to decline, the project rethinks a holistic approach to well-being, relying on advanced bioresonance technology that helps map the energetic and physiological state of the body. This allows wellness specialists to tailor individual treatment, movement, and nutrition programs for guests.
Just seven minutes by boat separate Bendor Island from the Provencal coastal town of Bandol. The island was purchased in 1950 by French entrepreneur Paul Ricard, who envisioned creating a social and cultural center where locals, families, and celebrities could escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea.
Inspired by Ricard's vision and philosophy "nul bien sans peine," or "no good without effort," each stay at the island resort begins with a bioresonance diagnostic session: the initial consultation identifies stress levels, energy, and overall balance to launch an individualized program.
Simultaneously with the resort's opening to the public, the hotel unveiled its wellness approach called Rēsonance.
Hotel founder Arnaud Zannier describes this approach as a way to "enable guests to feel the energy of their own body more deeply."
"It’s a journey of self-discovery and subtle inner changes that provides tools and support, allowing everyone to understand and restore balance at any moment in life," he added.
Three Accommodation Formats
The hotel’s 93 rooms are distributed among three accommodation formats along the harbor.
Five two-story Madrague houses from Zannier combine authentic Provencal charm with simple, slightly rustic elegance. They are housed in converted fishermen's cottages; each house accommodates two adults and includes a living area on the ground floor, a king-size bed upstairs, and a private garden.
For travelers nostalgic for the past, the Delos rooms and suites recreate the atmosphere of the French Riviera in the 1960s – its sophistication, glamour, and vibrant, lively setting. The Delos suite terrace offers a panoramic view of the sea. The open common space includes a king-size bed and a sofa bed; it can accommodate three adults and an infant.
The Delos Harbour suite also offers a private terrace overlooking the Bendor harbor and village. It features a living room, a bedroom with a king-size bed; it is designed for two adults and an infant.
For those traveling without children and seeking a more intimate atmosphere, the compact Delos rooms, located in the historic part of Delos & Cloitre, are suitable for a maximum of two adults.
Just steps away from the resort's wellness center and Neptune's garden are the Soukana rooms and suites, designed for reconnection and relaxation. The family suite accommodates four adults and an infant, the Terrace Suite fits three adults and an infant, while the Sunrise room, perfect for couples, is for two adults.
A night at Zannier Île de Bendor in August starts from 815 euros, excluding tourist tax. After the personalized consultation, guests are offered a choice of five signature wellness programs.
