There have been rumors in the public space about both a feud and a supposed romance.
Celebrities Sergey Lazarev (43) and Polina Gagarina (39) have joined forces to release a new collaborative song "Happy End." In the meantime, the artists have opened a presave for the track, while also dispelling strange speculations from fans: for several days now, the stars have been fueling romantic rumors by posting mysterious promotional shots on social media.
Initially, Polina Gagarina revealed who the man is in her recent photos. Now, the celebrities have finally unveiled the intrigue. Notably, for many years, there have been rumors in the public space about both a feud and a supposed romance between Lazarev and Gagarina, but in a conversation with our interviewer, they dispelled all these speculations.
"There are no conflicts; there has always been mutual understanding between us. As for romantic relationships… Maybe it’s just the sincere emotions between us that give rise to such rumors?" Sergey suggested.
Interestingly, several years ago, Polina and Sergey had already planned to record a duet titled "Sky in Your Eyes," but the collaboration did not happen.
"The idea of performing our composition has visited us more than once. There was even an attempt — five years ago. We worked in the studio then, even made a cover. But the pandemic started, and it was decided to wait. That song was originally written for Polina, and she released it herself. She released it wonderfully — the song became a big hit," Sergey recalled.
"Seryozha, as I’ve said before, is a perfectionist. We searched for the right key and presentation for a long time, so that it would turn out powerful and beautiful in the duet. But there were constant creative doubts. And we realized that if there are any doubts, then it’s just not the right time. So in the end, the song became a solo one," Polina added.
According to Gagarina, the decision to abandon the duet was mutual.
"Incredible devoted fans of Sergey accused me of the duet not happening. But it was a mutual decision. And we promised each other back then that we would look for that very song and would definitely find it."
