Former Trump Advisor Reveals U.S. Plans for Nord Stream Pipelines 0 9

The U.S. is interested in investing in the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines. The plans of Washington regarding the pipelines were revealed by former advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump, George Papadopoulos.

"The Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, I think, are extremely important and very interesting projects for potential U.S. investments," he said.

Papadopoulos also noted that the U.S. is striving to restore relations with Russia and wants the new chapter in bilateral cooperation to last at least "until the end of this century."

Previously, the U.S. allowed the sale of Russian oil loaded onto tankers until March 12. The general license states that operations with Russian vessels are permitted "until 00:01 Eastern Daylight Time on April 11, 2026."
