The case regarding the division of jointly acquired property of basketball player Janis Timma and singer Anna Sedokova has been transferred to another court, reported on social media by the athlete's family's lawyer Margarita Gavrilova, LETA writes.
The Khoroshevsky District Court of Moscow, where hearings were previously held, decided to transfer the case to the Ostankino District Court of Moscow.
Gavrilova indicated that she opposed this decision, as it would prolong the court process; however, Sedokova's representative supported it.
As reported, at the previous hearing, Sedokova's representative, Tatyana Stukalova, stated that the apartment gifted by Timma had been sold, and the proceeds had been spent on the family's needs within three months.
The judge attempted to determine how much Sedokova received from the sale of the apartment and what the funds were used for, but the defense could not provide clear answers to these questions.
Gavrilova reported that the market value of the disputed apartment at the time of purchase was 150 million rubles (1,497,849 euros). According to her, the Timma family intends to claim all movable and immovable property that will be distributed by the court.
According to Gavrilova, the court plans to establish the amount of funds in Sedokova's bank accounts, deposits, shares in capital, and other assets, as well as consider the issue of real estate that was registered in Sedokova's name during the marriage and subsequently alienated without transferring a share to Timma.
Timma's share in this property is currently the subject of a legal dispute, Gavrilova previously noted.
Sedokova and Timma began their relationship in the summer of 2019 and married in September of the following year. In early September 2024, Sedokova announced the end of her relationship with Timma.
Timma's ex-wife and mother of his son Christian, Osha, married footballer Marcis Ošs.
Timma died in Moscow on December 17, 2024. Media reports stated that the body of the 32-year-old basketball player was found in the entrance of a residential building in central Moscow. He took his own life.
In October 2024, Timma decided to continue his career in a tournament organized by the Russian betting company "Liga Stavok," playing for the team "Alikson."
Timma played 68 matches for the Latvia national team.
