The teenager drove a public bus for 130 kilometers!
A 15-year-old teenager in Germany stole a public bus to take his girlfriend to school, Deutsche Welle reports.
The young man managed to drive the hijacked vehicle about 130 km from Mainz-Kastel to Karlsruhe without attracting any attention.
The bus was stolen from the premises of a transport company on the morning of March 13, police said. The young man opened the doors of the vehicle without breaking in and started it using a universal key. How he managed to do this and where he got such a key remains unclear. "We still do not know how he obtained the key and how he was able to maneuver the bus so skillfully," police noted.
The police were informed of the incident only six hours after the theft because it was initially assumed that the driver had mistakenly left on the wrong bus.
The police are conducting an investigation, and the culprit has been handed over to responsible adults. The teenager, however, has been charged with vehicle theft and driving without a license.
