The nominee himself is worried about the responsible position.

Sergey Bezrukov has become the artistic director of the Gorky Moscow Art Theater. The flamboyant actor Stas Sadalsky expressed his opinion on this matter. Sadalsky reacted skeptically to the new appointment. "I have nothing against it, it just sounds comical — Bezrukov has been appointed director… Once again, the deck has been shuffled. He is Vysotsky, he is Yesenin, he is Pushkin! Bravo, I hope he won't have to advertise banks now!

Chaotic appointments are a path from bad to worse. It would have been better to have Bogomolov: at least he is not stupid. I love it when people hang out," the 74-year-old Stanislav Yuryevich ironically noted in his personal blog. The actor also recalled the famous epigram by Valentin Gaft: "Dying is not scary. What’s scary is that after death, Bezrukov will play you."

It remains a mystery how Sergey Vitalievich will combine his new position with his role as artistic director at the Moscow Provincial Theater.

It is worth noting that many users on the Internet did not understand Sadalsky's remarks about Bezrukov.

"What’s wrong with Bezrukov?! What’s bad about him? A talented actor! Not worse than you!"; "You can't please everyone!"; "Sadalsky should have been put in this position"; "Did Bogomolov suit you better?" the commentators wonder.

Bezrukov himself commented on his appointment rather sparingly, thanking representatives of the Ministry of Culture for the honor. The day before, the actor shared his emotions about the new work on stage in his personal blog. "I am going to my native theater for the rehearsal of 'The Marriage of Figaro'. I am as nervous as I was when I played in the performance of this play with Oleg Tabakov. Back then, I was Figaro, and Oleg Pavlovich was Count Almaviva. Twenty years have passed… Now I am Almaviva… As they say, I’ve lived to see it. Or rather, I’ve grown into it. I am nervous because I fear repeating the role of my teacher, he was so convincing. I remember everything in minute detail. It’s no wonder that all of us, Oleg Pavlovich's students, tried to imitate him during our studies. It’s no coincidence that someone said that there are ten little Tabakovs walking on the stage of the 'Tabakerka'.

What can you do, it’s a growing pain. As for Almaviva, the general audience, of course, knows Alexander Shirvindt in this role from the hit production of the Satire Theater, but believe me, Tabakov was no less brilliant and funny. It’s a pity that our performance was not filmed, but it remains in my memory for a lifetime," Bezrukov reflected.
