Panic Over War with Iran: Paying Up to $350,000 to Leave Riyadh on Private Jets

The elite of the Persian Gulf countries are panicking and leaving the region after Iranian missiles and drones struck Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar, and Bahrain over the past weekend. The only functioning corridor for exiting the region has become Saudi Arabia, reports Semafor.

According to sources, private security companies are organizing entire fleets of SUVs to transport clients from Dubai to Riyadh — a ten-hour journey through the desert has become the only land artery for those wishing to leave the conflict zone.

Among those being evacuated are top executives from global financial corporations and wealthy travelers who were in the region for leisure or business visits. The demand for emergency 'evacuation' has led to an explosive rise in prices. According to Amirha Naran, CEO of the brokerage firm Vimana Private, the cost of private flights from Riyadh to Europe has reached $350,000. 'Saudi Arabia is now the only real option for those wanting to leave the region,' Naran emphasized.

On the morning of February 28, Israel, with the help of the U.S., struck Iran. According to The New York Times, the U.S. is also involved in the strikes on Tehran. Meanwhile, Al Jazeera reports that the attacks by the U.S. and Israel are aimed at undermining the security system of the Islamic Republic.
