The cult series from HBO, Game of Thrones, will receive a continuation. This was reported by The Hollywood Reporter (THR).

It is reported that the project will focus on Arya Stark, with the action moving to Essos. According to sources from the publication, screenwriter Quoc Dang Tran, known for Drops of God, has been brought on board for the series. Currently, the project is in the early stages of development. The plot and the cast for the main roles are still unknown.

In April 2024, the HBO streaming service halted work on a continuation of Game of Thrones centered on Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington. According to the actor, the creators could not come up with a sufficiently engaging story. At the same time, the creator of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, George Martin, considered Snow the most suitable character for further development, as his fate after the show's finale is no longer tied to other characters. The writer stated that he would not want to canonize the last season of the series, as his books will end quite differently.
