Eurovision organizers have released a video clip of Latvia's representative Atvara performing the song "Ēnā." Judging by the rehearsal footage, the performance has retained the atmosphere of the national selection but has become larger in scale and visually more complex.
With only a few days left until Latvia takes the stage at Eurovision, the contest organizers have already released a short video clip of the second rehearsal of singer Atvara's performance of the song "Ēnā."
The Latvian representative will perform in the second semi-final of the contest on the evening of May 14.
Judging by the released footage, the team has maintained the core concept of the performance familiar to viewers from the national selection, but has adapted it for the scale of the main Eurovision stage.
The changes in visual projections and stage design are particularly noticeable.
According to contest experts in Vienna, the singer's stage costume has also remained recognizable but has become more striking — it is now adorned with even more crystals.
During the performance, visual elements featuring glass shards are used, enhancing the dark and atmospheric aesthetic of the number.
For Eurovision viewers, the stage presentation often becomes one of the key factors for success — especially in the semi-finals, where capturing the audience's attention must be done within a few minutes.
However, bookmakers remain quite skeptical about Latvia's chances. After the second rehearsal, the country is predicted to place only 24th overall, which would mean missing out on the final.
Nonetheless, music critics and many YouTube experts rate Latvia's chances significantly higher. Some believe the performance could even make it into the top ten of the contest.
Such discrepancies between bookmakers' predictions and fan reactions to rehearsals at Eurovision occur regularly — especially after the release of the first stage videos.
Now, much will depend on the live performance in the semi-final and the reaction of television viewers.
