Nutritionist: sleeping on your stomach leads to puffiness and creases on the face.

The appearance of early signs of aging on the face is 70 percent due to improper sleep, said therapist, sleep specialist, and nutritionist Anna Tsukanova. The doctor noted that creases can appear on the face due to incorrect sleeping positions. According to her, sleeping on the stomach will lead to puffiness and wrinkles on the face. Sleeping on one side is also considered a bad idea, as over time this habit leads to facial asymmetry.

"The best choice is sleeping on your back. The weight of the body is distributed evenly, and the face 'floats' above the pillow. Blood flow is free, lymph does not stagnate — goodbye, bags under the eyes!" advises the sleep specialist.

The doctor also recommended paying attention to the pillow. She clarified that if the head is too low, the brain will not receive enough oxygen, and the skin will become dull, while a high head position will compress the neck and lead to a double chin. She named an optimal pillow height of 8-12 centimeters.

The doctor added that dirty pillowcases can cause acne, and a room temperature above 22 degrees Celsius can negatively affect the condition of the pores.
