Natural Christmas trees should not be decorated with electric lights. This warning was issued by ecologist Ilya Rybalchenko.

According to the expert, electric lights on a living tree increase the risk of fire in the apartment. Additionally, without such decorations, the tree will retain its pine scent for a longer time.

“A natural Christmas tree without electric lights can be sprayed with water, thus increasing the number of days it will stand with you. It will also increase the amount of phytoncides it releases,” explained Rybalchenko.
