In Europe, a female shaman defrauded clients of over 9 million euros.

In Europe, 44-year-old Marianna Mijailovich is being sought after for posing as a shaman and extorting money from wealthy women in Munich and Vienna. This is reported by The Telegraph.

According to the prosecutor's office, Marianna and her daughter-in-law Anna assured their clients that their jewelry was cursed. They claimed that if the clients did not hand over their jewelry for shamanic cleansing rituals, their families would face serious misfortunes. Once Marianna and Anna received the jewelry, they disappeared.

For instance, Marianna convinced one woman that she was possessed, while she promised to heal another from cancer. The desperate patient gave her a large sum of money, but soon she passed away. It is believed that over 10 years of fraud, Marianna deceived at least 19 victims and stole 8.3 million pounds sterling (over 9 million euros) from them.

When the police became aware of the fraud, they arrived with a search warrant at the suspect's home. A secret room was equipped under the pool in the yard, accessible only through a hatch. Inside, the police found 25 kilograms of gold bars, jewelry, watches, and bundles of cash from the USA and Switzerland. Additionally, they seized 14 luxury cars from Marianna's family, including Aston Martin, Jaguar, and BMW, and froze her bank accounts.
