He advised those who made it to write a letter to Santa Claus with their gift wishes and to decorate their homes for the holidays.
The main Christmas trees of Riga are installed at Dome Square and Town Hall Square. As reported by bb.lv, these are 35-year-old trees reaching up to 21 meters in height. They were cut down in the forests of Tīrelis, owned by the municipal enterprise Rīgas meži.
This year, around 20 Christmas trees will decorate the capital.
