Doctors pulled the amorous Leps back from the brink.
Grigory Leps announced that he plans to release a new album in February. The 63-year-old artist spoke about his creative plans and how he chooses his hits.
"I was truly only sure about one song — 'A Shot of Vodka on the Table.' I felt that we have such a country — everyone loves to celebrate. I doubted the song 'The Best Day,' and it became a hit. I didn’t expect 'I Am Happy' to become so popular. I thought about 'Waterfall': it’s a beautiful piece. But I had no hundred percent confidence. I choose songs by my heart. If I like it, I will definitely buy it and perform it," Grigory said in an interview.
The artist has been engaged to 19-year-old student Aurora Kiba for a year. The couple keeps postponing their wedding, but Grigory is firmly convinced that they will eventually get married. In the interview, Leps stated that he disagrees with the notion that love rules the world.
"Love should be an integral part of any human soul or heart. In my opinion, fear has always ruled the world. No matter what anyone says, everyone has fears. There are plenty of them. Everyone is afraid of dying. Everyone is afraid of the unknown. Everyone is afraid for their children. Everyone is afraid for their well-being..." the singer shared.
Leps admitted that his own impulsiveness, irritability, and sometimes looseness greatly hinder him in life. Grigory says that he has been on the brink of life and death twice in his life. He ended up in intensive care, and doctors pulled him back from the brink.
"I could have buried my talent several times in my life. I had two comatose states, two resuscitations. God decided that I am still needed here. Tomorrow He may decide otherwise - I will be gone," the artist emphasizes.
In October of this year, Grigory Leps was hospitalized after a concert collapse in Vladivostok. The musician's entourage reported at the time that he had been severely poisoned and was lying under drips. It was said that the artist canceled all tours for the next month. However, he soon performed in Kazan.
"Alcohol is absolutely excluded from the rider, yes. Precisely because I observe my colleagues. I see that, for example, Grisha Leps - boom - got sick. So that I never get sick with that illness that Grisha Leps sometimes suffers from, I have no alcohol in my rider," the musician stated.
