Products made from sheep or camel wool can cause allergies just like pet hair. At the same time, the expert noted that wool itself is harmless; the problem lies in the malfunctioning of the human immune system. Allergens do not have pathogenic properties, unlike viruses and bacteria.

"Allergy is not related to the fact that a person comes into contact with wool or some other factors, but to the fact that with a weakened immune system, there is increased sensitivity to allergens (...) No type of wool, no food products, no plant pollen has pathogenic disease-causing properties on its own," the doctor noted.

Symptoms of allergies can include local skin reactions, nasal congestion, and sneezing. For accurate diagnosis, it is advisable to consult a specialist and undergo specific tests, the doctor concluded.
