Doctor Malysheva told a joke to a man with suspected prostate cancer.
Doctor Elena Malysheva told a joke to a man who is suspected of having cancer. The episode is available on the channel's website.
The guest of the show was a man who had undergone a test for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and learned that his levels were elevated. The program's hero added that doctors sent him for an MRI, and based on the results of this study, they suspected that he had prostate cancer. He mentioned that he was offered a biopsy, but he refused as he was not experiencing any discomfort.
Malysheva urged the guest to still undergo the test, as early-stage cancer often presents no symptoms. She also added that prostate cancer can be successfully treated with various surgeries, after which one can lead a full life.
"A joke comes to mind. 'Doctor, will I be able to play the violin after the operation?' 'Of course, you will.' 'That's great, but I didn't play before the operation,'" concluded the doctor.
