The organizers of the 'Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala 2026' festival continue to reveal the names of artists who will take the stage at the Dzintari Concert Hall this summer. One of them will be one of the most original and uncompromising performers of the modern Russian-speaking scene - Noize MC. His performance will take place on Saturday, July 25, during the traditional multinational evening of the festival, known for unexpected collaborations and a characteristic sense of creative freedom.
Behind the stage name Noize MC is Ivan Alekseev - a musician, poet, and improvisation virtuoso, one of the most recognizable freestylers in the Russian-speaking scene. He began his journey in 2003 by founding the group Protivo Gunz. The artist's work cannot be confined to a single genre: his music organically intertwines hip-hop, rock, and punk, creating a recognizable, bold, and surprisingly melodic sound.
Noize MC is famous for his sharp, intelligent, and invariably sincere lyrics, which combine subtle irony, civic stance, and deeply personal experiences. Since the first days of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the artist has openly and consistently opposed it, dedicating his voice and creativity to the ideas of peace, humanity, and support for those affected. His songs, from early hits to the large-scale hip-hop opera 'Orpheus & Eurydice', have long become anthems for a whole generation of listeners who value not only rhythm but also meaning in music.
"Noize MC is definitely an artist of rare honesty. His words are precise, his music is alive, and his stance is genuine. I am glad that he will be part of our festival: I am sure his performance will give the audience unforgettable emotions," notes Laima Vaikule.
The 'Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala' festival will take place from July 24 to 26 at the Dzintari Concert Hall and is rightly considered one of the most anticipated musical events of the summer. For three evenings, Jūrmala traditionally becomes the center of international music, vibrant emotions, and high artistic taste, bringing together stars from Latvia and around the world on one stage. All performances are accompanied by a live orchestra, creating an atmosphere of sincerity, inspiration, and unique artistry.
