The 15th Latvian Cultural Festival Will Take Place in Dublin in May

The 15th Latvian Cultural Festival will take place in the Irish capital Dublin on May 3, reported LETA, the Latvian Society in Ireland.

It is expected that Latvian artistic groups and schools from all over Ireland will participate in the festival program – choirs, folk dance groups, as well as individual singers, dancers, and musicians. The program will be complemented by guests from Latvia, as well as artisans and traditional cuisine masters.

Invited artists from various countries, including Estonia, Ukraine, Mongolia, several African countries, Brazil, Peru, and China, will take part in the event.

Throughout the day, visitors will be able to watch traditional and modern performances, visit a crafts and food market, participate in workshops, such as flower crown weaving, join in group dances, and see an exhibition of national costumes.

One of the festive events will be a ceremonial procession, in which members of the Latvian community from all over Ireland and guests will unite in a single march, showcasing national costumes, traditions, and a sense of belonging to the community.
