A ten-year-old iguana was brought to the veterinary clinic in the Kanavinsky district of Nizhny Novgorod. The owners reported that the pet had not eaten for two weeks and appeared depressed.
During an X-ray examination, several foreign objects were found in the iguana's stomach. During the surgery, veterinarians removed a caterpillar toy and two coins. One of the coins, judging by its condition, had been in the animal's stomach for quite some time.
The iguana is currently undergoing treatment, and veterinarians assess its condition as satisfactory.
