Where do swifts sleep if they never land?

In nests.

There is an opinion that swifts never land, but this is not entirely true.

Swifts indeed do not land on the ground, as they cannot move on a flat surface and take off from it. However, they build nests under roofs, in building recesses, cracks in rocks, and tree hollows, which allows them to perch on the edges of these places and take off from there.

Before sunset, swifts take shelter in their nests, where they spend the night. In these same nests, they lay eggs and incubate their chicks, and after they hatch, they regularly return to feed them.
