What phrases do cat owners say daily

Veterinarians highlighted the most common phrases that cat owners say to their beloved pets every day. Interestingly, the expression “Who did this?” does not take the top spot on this list.

In first place in popularity is the question to the cat: “Are you going out or coming in?” Specialists from the veterinary department explain: “Sometimes the cat sits by the door, creating the impression that it is about to go out or come in. But as soon as the door is opened, the pet changes its mind – turns around and goes in the opposite direction.”

In second place is the phrase “Why aren’t you greeting me?” Owners always appreciate it when their pet meets them at the door. “If the cat doesn’t come to greet, the owner may feel hurt or start to worry if their beloved pet is unwell,” added the veterinarians.

In third place in popularity is the phrase “Who did this?” “A cat can dig up the soil in a flower pot, push the TV remote under the couch, roll around on freshly ironed laundry, or knock over a vase. We know this, but we still ask: ‘Who did this?!’,” note the veterinary specialists.

“How did you get up there?” is another common question that owners ask their pets. “It must be teleportation that explains how a cat ends up on top of a wardrobe, on the refrigerator, or even on a windowsill. And we haven’t even mentioned how cats manage to fit and sleep in items completely unsuitable for sleeping,” comment the experts.

The rhetorical question “Who’s a good boy?” is usually directed at dogs, but cats often hear it too.

Sometimes a cat’s behavior can frighten the owner significantly. Just a moment ago, this cute ball of fur was chasing its shadow or trying to catch its tail, but suddenly it froze and hissed at nothing. “What did you see there?” owners ask at such moments, and this phrase closes the list of the most popular questions.
