The First Corgi Police Dog Introduced in China

The six-month-old corgi named Fu Zai was first showcased at the opening of a police camp in Weifang, Shandong. Soon, this dog will become the first corgi police dog in China.

Fu Zai began training at the age of two months and is currently in reserve. The puppy is being trained to detect various items, including explosives, and to develop his scent tracking skills, reports China Daily.

According to Wang Yanan, head of the police dog base of the Weifang Public Security Bureau, their protégé is adapting well to the environment and has a good appetite.

After four months of training, Fu Zai will be engaged in searching for explosives and other prohibited substances. Given his short legs, he is capable of crawling under cars and into tight spaces.
