Lion's mane jellyfish.
Some individuals of this species from the order Scyphozoa can reach truly impressive sizes. It is known that the largest specimen of the lion's mane jellyfish (Cyanea capillata) was recorded in the 19th century — its bell diameter was 2.1 meters, and the length of its tentacles exceeded 36 meters.
These jellyfish inhabit the northern waters of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, feeding on plankton and other jellyfish. Cyaneas catch their prey using their venomous tentacles covered with stinging cells. Although the venom of these jellyfish does not pose a serious threat to humans, it is better to avoid contact with them.
