Виктор Робертович никогда не пел "Дети минут" на концертах.

The secret recording was made in 1988.

Sergey Chubraev, an archivist and collector, reported the discovery of a recording of a song by Viktor Tsoi, which was considered lost. According to him, the composition was found on a cassette that had been kept for over 30 years in the home archive of a resident of Sweden.

Chubraev explained that in 2020, he received a note "written in Tsoi's hand." "It was the lyrics to the song 'Children of the Minutes'... At that time, it was officially believed that the song was lost," Chubraev clarified.

According to the collector, Tsoi performed this song only among a close circle of friends and musicians, did not include it in concert programs, and did not record it in the studio, as he did not want to offend colleagues mentioned in the lyrics.

Initiating the search for the recording, Chubraev excluded the CIS countries from it: in his estimation, if the material had not been found in three decades, the likelihood of finding it there was minimal. He then turned to foreigners who were familiar with Tsoi in the 1980s, many of whom often had cameras, dictaphones, and players with them. Among them was Sara Okerren, who came to Leningrad from Sweden to learn Russian and visit her father, who worked as a consul general in the USSR.

"I asked if she had heard this song? And she replied: yes, I recorded it on a player. This was in 1988 at a party at Georgy Guryanov's... Viktor decided to sing a few songs at the request of the girls. Including 'Children of the Minutes,'" Chubraev stated.

Two years ago, he received the cassette, after which the recording was digitized in the studio. The song by Viktor Tsoi, considered lost, will be made public on his birthday – June 21.

Viktor Tsoi was a singer, poet, musician, actor, artist, founder and leader of the rock band 'Kino.' He died in a car accident near Riga on August 15, 1990, at the age of 28. He is considered a classic of Russian rock, and Tsoi's work has not lost significance and popularity among modern listeners, while the musician himself remains a youth idol.
