Are there right-handed and left-handed animals?

Yes.

In animals, the front limbs primarily serve for movement, and their effectiveness is achieved through the coordinated use of both paws. However, in situations where it is necessary to reach something on a surface, some cats prefer to use their right paw, while others favor their left.

If access to the target is difficult — for example, when it is on the 'inconvenient' side — the animal easily switches to its 'less favored' paw. Many individuals (according to some reports, about 25% of cats) are ambidextrous, meaning they can use both paws equally effectively.
